Hello, I am Joanna Carolan, a comedian and podcaster living in London. I am trying to raise funds for my friends in Gaza. For the past two years I have been providing financial and material aid through grassroots organisation, All Our Relations. It has become increasingly difficult to support Samah and her children because of all the blockades and the effects of a merciless war that has stripped Samah of everything. Sadly, even though a ‘ceasefire’ is in place, Palestinians are still being deprived of vital aid and are dying every day. My wish is to get as many kind people as possible to donate an amount each month (even a fiver is great!) so that Samah may have the agency and independence to feed and clothe her family. A one-off donation is also greatly appreciated. Samah is one of the kindest people I know. She never asks for anything. She has the humility and dignity that seems synonymous with the Palestinian people. She deserves so much more. I thank you from the bottom of my heart.

“I am a single mother struggling to provide for my two children. At the very beginning of the war, our home was bombed, leaving us with nothing. Since then, we have been living without a shelter or a steady source of income. My daily journey is a constant battle to find food and keep my children safe in these harsh conditions. We lost our house, our stability, and our sense of security, and now we are just trying to survive each day.”
