1. Introduction

All Our Relations is committed to ensuring that all Zakat donations are collected, managed, and distributed in accordance with Islamic principles. This policy outlines our approach to Zakat compliance, ensuring that donations are used in a manner consistent with Shariah guidelines.

2. Definition of Zakat

Zakat is a mandatory form of almsgiving in Islam, prescribed for eligible recipients as outlined in the Qur’an (Surah At-Tawbah, 9:60). It is an obligation for eligible Muslims and must be distributed according to Islamic teachings.

3. Principles of Zakat Distribution

To ensure compliance, all Zakat donations received by All Our Relations will be:

  • Used Exclusively for Zakat-Eligible Beneficiaries: We ensure that Zakat funds are only used for recipients who fall under one or more of the eight eligible categories (asnaf) mentioned in the Qur’an, including the poor, the needy, those in debt, and those in hardship.
  • Distributed Directly to Families in Need: We provide direct mutual aid to families in Gaza, prioritizing those in extreme poverty, displaced individuals, widows, orphans, and those facing immediate hardship.
  • Separate Accounting for Zakat Funds: Zakat donations will be recorded and managed separately from other forms of donations to ensure proper utilization and transparency.
  • Timely Disbursement: Zakat funds will be distributed as quickly as possible to maximize their impact, particularly during Ramadan and other critical periods of need.

4. Zakat Eligibility Verification Process

All Our Relations follows a rigorous process to ensure that Zakat is distributed to eligible recipients by:

  • Conducting needs assessments to verify recipients fall within the asnaf categories.
  • Prioritizing direct cash or essential aid distribution rather than administrative costs.
  • Seeking guidance from Islamic scholars when necessary to ensure compliance.

5. Transparency and Accountability

We are committed to full transparency in handling Zakat funds. To ensure accountability:

  • We provide detailed reports to donors on how and where their Zakat has been distributed.
  • Our financial statements clearly differentiate Zakat funds from other charitable donations.
  • We work with trusted partners and field teams to ensure funds reach those most in need.

6. Administrative Costs

All Our Relations ensures that 100% of Zakat donations are used for their intended purpose. If administrative costs arise, they will be covered through separate, non-Zakat funds to maintain compliance.

7. Conclusion

By adhering to this policy, All Our Relations ensures that all Zakat donations are utilized in a manner that aligns with Islamic principles, providing direct and meaningful relief to families in Gaza. We welcome any questions or requests for further clarification from our donors.
